Traffic is expected to be impacted in south Delhi for three days starting Friday due to a religious gathering, as per a police advisory.

The advisory states that the Radha Swami Satsang Beas congregation will take place from 4 am to 6 pm at the Radha Swami Satsang Complex in Bhati Mines, Chhattarpur, Mehrauli, from Friday through Sunday.

A large number of devotees, including VIPs and dignitaries from India and abroad, are anticipated at the event. The gathering is expected to attract around three to four lakh people, with about 80,000 attendees staying overnight at the satsang complex and the rest commuting from Delhi and NCR between 5 am and 6 pm. In light of this, comprehensive traffic arrangements have been made, the advisory noted.

Devotees can access the satsang complex via Bhati Mines Road, with all types of vehicles permitted. Those planning to attend are advised to arrive before 6 am to avoid congestion. Separate entry arrangements have been established for different categories of vehicles and visitors, the advisory added.

Devotees from Faridabad and Gurugram are advised to use the Dera Border route to Bhati Mines for convenience.

Adequate parking facilities are available within the complex for all vehicle categories, and signage has been placed by the organizers for devotees’ awareness. No parking will be permitted along SSN Marg, according to the advisory.

Restrictions on heavy transport vehicles will be in effect on Bhati Mines Road between Chattarpur Road (SSN Marg), Gurgaon Road T-Point, and the satsang complex from Friday to Sunday, between 4 am and 6.30 pm, to prevent traffic blockages. The public is advised to avoid Chattarpur Road (SSN Marg) during these hours.

All emergency vehicles, including those of Delhi Police, ambulances, fire services, and other emergency services, will have unrestricted access on roads with diversions in place when on urgent duties. Emergency vehicles coming from Faridabad via Dera More and Mandi Border are advised to use the Mehrauli-Gurgram Road to avoid delays.

The public is encouraged to use public transport to help ease road congestion, the advisory concluded.
