The Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory regarding diversions and restrictions on vehicular movement due to Women’s Premier League matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The matches are scheduled from Tuesday until March 13, 15, and 17. To ensure public convenience and for security purposes, certain traffic measures will be implemented in and around the stadium, reads the advisory.

There will be diversions/restrictions on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg. No heavy vehicles or buses will be permitted from Daryaganj to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road.

Commuters are advised to avoid routes from Rajghat to JLN Marg, JLN Marg from the Kamala Market roundabout to Rajghat, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate between 4.30 pm and 12.00 am on match days.

Limited parking is available for labeled vehicles near the stadium. Displaying the parking label on car windscreens is mandatory, and vehicle numbers must be written on the label. Vehicles without valid parking labels will not be permitted near the stadium, as per the police advisory.

Vehicle owners with valid parking labels are advised to use Ring Road, JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road, or Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (U-turn at Delhi Gate allowed). Entry to parking lots P1, P3, and P4 will only be from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (near the petrol pump).

Parking on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, and Ring Road from Rajghat to IP Flyover (both carriageways) will not be allowed on match days, as per the advisory.

Vehicles parked on these roads will be towed away and penalized, the advisory stated.

Spectators using app cabs and other taxis are advised to utilise the service lane on Ring Road between IP Flyover and Rajghat crossing for drop-off and pickup. (With inputs from PTI)
