A free dental checkup and awareness camp was held in south Delhi’s Gulmohar Park where several prominent doctors rendered their services in the spirit of altruism. It was organized by Hon. Brig. Dr Anil Kohli and Dr RP Chadha, Chairman of ITS Dental College.

A team of dental surgeons examined 150 patients. Among them were Dr Geetika Tomar, Dr Ankita Giri, Dr Ritu Gupta, Dr Divya Doneria, Dr Shivam Aggarwal and Dr Abhik Mukherjee. Requisite dental procedures like x-rays, scaling, restorations and extraction of diseased teeth was provided.

The core motivation for the camp was to enlighten people about the importance of oral health for overall health. The message they wanted to drive home: ‘Mouth is the first gateway of our body and teeth are the prominent guards of our health. Whatever we eat and drink for the nourishment of our body, the first contact lies with our teeth and gums.’

In the end, Dr HR Prem Sachdev thanked the eminent doctors and Mr Arpit Chadha for showing deep concern about the dental health of society at large.
