To honour this doctor, who would have celebrated his birthday on 27 January, the American Association of Endodontics (AAE) has named its first ever education grant after him. The grant will be given every year in his name and will be called The Chandra FTEDG Memorial Award.
He was a UP member of the AAE. “Dr Chandra had an illustrious career and was an important member of the doctors’ community across the globe,” says Dr Sarabjit Singh. “He was very popular among his students for his willingness to guide and help students.”
The late doctor mentored a number of clinicians who are now spread around the globe. He has numerous publications to his credit as well as four patents. He edited three Indian dental journals and gave presentations at dental conferences around the world in a soft-spoken trademark style. He advocated greater access to specialty training and endodontic training.
With this award, the medical community will forever remember him for inspiring students and colleague to improve their professional skills while maintaining a work-life balance.
