This will be the 15th edition of the UN Designated International Women’s Day Awards organised by Mrs Ratan Kaul (Founder President, Public Diplomacy Forum) and Dr Aruna Abhey Oswal in collaboration with RISA (Ms Riya Rastogi, CEO).
The 2022 theme is #BreakTheBias with the aim to forge a gender equal world. Celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is key. The presentation of awards to Outstanding Women Achievers of 2022 will be the main event.
The event will be presented by JPIN, which is building the world’s largest start-up investment bank and has created the world’s next decacorns ($10bn+). This is currently the largest cross-border start up investment bank between UK and India. It is massively focused on the Impact Investment angle with an emphasis on women’s empowerment.

Mrs Ratan Kaul is a very well known figure in New Delhi’s cultural, social, diplomatic, business & political circles, an environmental activist and a writer. She has been recognized and awarded by many national and international organizations for her contribution and work as an activist.
RISA (Ms Riya Rastogi, Legal Consultant/ CEO) is an initiative of the Indian heritage brand Ram Chandra Krishan Chandra (RCKC) that has been integral to North India’s social fabric for the past 117 years with an unparalleled network of craftsmen and artisans. RISA aims to bridge the gap between time and space, by combining traditional values and modern design and taking Indic textile art to an international platform through its strong presence in the United Kingdom. RISA along with CEI (Confederation of Empowerment Initiatives) is also Holistically Empowering the most disenfranchised sections of society through textiles by involving several self-help groups and its network of weavers built over a century and generating employment at the grassroots level all across the nation.
RISA’s new collection Indian Rhapsody designed by Abhijeet Khanna (Head Designer) and Renesa Rastogi (Designer/ Creative Director) with its colourful indo-western fusion pieces, pocket lehengas (women still struggle to find bottoms with pockets) paired with comfortable sneakers highlights the theme #BreakTheBias.
