Punjabi Bagh’s new Mexican-inspired eatery serves a flavour-packed feast

Delhi’s appetite for Mexican food continues to grow, with tacos, burritos and loaded nachos becoming increasingly popular among diners seeking bold flavours and casual comfort food. The latest addition to this trend is Guacamole Co. in Punjabi Bagh, a Mexican-inspired restaurant that brings together fresh ingredients, customisable meals and a menu that caters equally to vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

The restaurant’s signature Guacamole Jars are among the most distinctive offerings on the menu. Available in flavours such as Clasico, Picante, Mango Chilli and Con Piña, the freshly prepared guacamole is served with homemade gluten-free nachos. Unlike conventional chips, these nachos include spinach and beetroot varieties, adding colour, texture and flavour to the experience. The combination makes for a fresh and satisfying start to the meal.

Tacos form the heart of the menu, with diners able to choose between soft-shell and hard-shell versions. The fillings cover a wide range of flavours. Vegetarian options include Mexican Soya, Chipotle Paneer, Mushroom Queso and Papas Picante, while non-vegetarian diners can choose from Crispy Chicken and Chipotle Chicken. Layered with salsa, crema and guacamole, the tacos offer the balance of crunch, spice and creaminess that has made the dish a global favourite.

For those looking for something more substantial, the burrito wraps and bowls offer plenty of variety. Diners can select from classic, spinach or beetroot wraps, while bowls can be built on a base of Mexican rice, brown rice or quinoa. Fillings range from Chipotle Paneer and Jackfruit Tinga to Habanero Birria Chicken and Birria Lamb. Combined with beans, salsa, guacamole and sour cream, the bowls are designed as complete meals packed with flavour and texture.

One of the strengths of the menu is its attention to vegetarian diners. Jackfruit, soya and paneer are featured prominently across several dishes, providing options that go beyond the standard vegetarian offerings often found in casual dining restaurants. The Jackfruit Tinga, in particular, stands out for its rich seasoning and meaty texture.

The appetiser section offers plenty of choices for sharing. Tex-Mex Corn Ribs bring together grilled corn and tangy seasoning, while Papas Picante delivers crispy potatoes with a spicy kick. Tempura Avocado adds a crunchy twist to the fruit that inspires the restaurant’s name. Among the non-vegetarian starters, the Grilled Chipotle Chicken Skewers are likely to be a crowd favourite, combining smoky grilled chicken with bold chipotle flavours. Habanero Chicken Wings cater to those who enjoy a little extra heat.

Loaded nachos receive special attention on the menu. Diners can choose from Classic Nachos, Millet Nachos Picante, Mushroom Queso Nachos, Chicken Tinga Nachos and Birria Lamb Nachos. Generously topped with beans, salsa, crema and guacamole, these dishes transform a familiar snack into a hearty meal. The Millet Nachos Picante also reflects the growing popularity of healthier alternatives in contemporary dining.

The restaurant’s beverage menu complements the food with fruit-forward Agua Frescas available in mango, pineapple, watermelon, and tajin citrus flavours. Light and refreshing, they pair well with the spice and richness found across the menu.

Desserts include cinnamon-sugar churros served with chocolate dip and the Choco Loco Taco, offering a sweet finish to the meal.

With its mix of soft and hard-shell tacos, flavour-packed bowls, loaded nachos, grilled chicken skewers, fresh guacamole, and fillings ranging from jackfruit and soya to chicken and lamb, Guacamole Co. adds another interesting stop to Delhi’s evolving food map. For diners looking to explore Mexican-inspired flavours in a casual setting, Punjabi Bagh’s newest entrant offers plenty to discover.
