
Cyclic petals
Hailing from a small town in Punjab, Shikha Setia spent a substantial amount of time in the orchards. Today, she is a master of painting in oil and acrylic.
An accomplished architect having worked in India and UAE and in recent years, exploring her other creative yearnings, she started to paint and write.
Her artwork is characterised by the ‘sense of being’ and of contentment. According to her, architecture, travel, music, art, and culture are synonymous with “our living”. She believes that they bind us all, without boundaries, demarcated or created.
She has been writing since childhood and has been an editor in her formative years. “Through the Shades” is a work of contemporary fiction. It is based on the journey of photographers through continents, inner growth, creative expenditure of learning, and of relationships with people and their traits. It explores the intuitive and complex relationship between artists and muses.
Along with the book launch, there will also be an exhibition of her work titled “A Journey Through the Shades”. The event will see eminent guests, including, actors Nasir Abdullah, Yuri Suri, Choreographer Liza Varma, MC & Singer Vandana Vadhera, Artists Rashmi Khurana, Bipasha Sengupta, Sukanya Garg, etc.
