Percussionist Hiten Pawar, known for blending traditional tunes with contemporary music, will be performing at Akra High Energy Bar on Friday, August 11.
The performance is a part of Flying Friday, a series started by the bar that features legendary artists.
Panwar is particularly recognized for his ability to play multiple percussion instruments simultaneously, including the tabla, dholak, mridangam, and kanjira. He has delved into classical music from a young age, beginning his journey at the age of six under the guidance of the late Pt. Giridhar Prasad Jaipurwale of Delhi Gharana. He later went on to study with the esteemed Shri Ravindra Rajbhatt, further refining his mastery of the tabla and solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished musician.
In the performance to be held in Akra, he will be experimenting with a mix of classical and fusion music. Pawar says that he is sure to please both long-time fans and newcomers alike. According to the organizers, the performance will be a night of quality music and entertainment.
