An art exhibition is set to host the works of 10 artists from across India and bring them under one head. The show ‘Art Revolution’ will present an eclectic selection of contemporary and experimental artwork.
Organised by RKG art and culture, the exhibition will see the works of artists Gouri Seth, Hari Singh, Rajat Baran Mahapatra, Rubeena Waris, Banti Kumar, Heena Saini, Rajendra Bhartiya, Azmat Sikandar Alam, Govind Harideshwar Upadhayay and Tarique Anwar.
Art Revolution is co- curated by Anam Shakeel (MFA, Art History) and Rubeena Waris (MFA, AMU). The exhibition aims at representing India’s diverse and rich culture through art work of these artists and promote young artist too.
Speaking about her art journey, Gouri Seth said, “Spirituality, Serenity and Beauty are the primary concepts I hope to reflect upon my paintings. I began painting in 2015 again after a gap of 42 years. I grew up in a military household and my parents always encouraged us to follow our passion. There is a variety in my works. I hope you will love my work as that is my aim in life.”
Hari Singh, a senior artist working for the last 30 years, lives in Gurgaon and is known for his realistic work, portraits, still life, human animal abstract in medium like oil color, acrylic color and water color.
Another artist, Rajat Baran Mahapatra from Kolkata, was interested in art from his childhood but due to lack of money, he was not able to continue his dreams. To fulfill this, he took admission in Indian College of Art and after that shifted to Delhi. For him art is life. He is working as full-time artist. In his artwork, we can see life of a common man, animal forms on the urban road and landscape and nature.
Over the years, MD Tarique Anwar (Artist/Educator) has organized and participated in many art-related events. He is also one the founding member of The Art Revolution art society in AMU.
The chief guest of this exhibition is Nawab of Hyderabad Najaf Ali Khan. He also works for artists and is an art lover.
