Baithak – an evening of melody

The 19th Quarterly Baithak, a classical musical show by Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh, will take place on the evening of February 4 (Saturday) at Triveni Kala Sangam.

The event will be graced by tall musicians such as Janab Zaheen Khan.

Here is a look at the performers of the event:

– First performance by Janab Zaheen Khan on Tabla accompanied by Janab Mudassir Khan on Sarangi.

– Second performance by Vocal Recital by Vidhushi Mitali Bhawmik accompanied by Sh. Jitendra Kumar Swain on Tabla and Janab Muddassir Khan on Sarangi.

– The last performance of the evening will be Sarod Recital by Pt. Abhik Kumar Sarkar accompanied by Shri Ashutosh on Tabla.

Established in 1956, Pracheen Kala Kendra is one of the oldest, premier and prestigious organizations of the country dedicated to promotion, preservation and dissemination of Indian Classical arts.

At present, Pracheen Kala Kendra is a well known institution imparting quality education and training under ancient Gurukul parampara in the subjects of Indian Classical Music including Carnatic Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Classical Dances (e.g. Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi Dance, etc.) and Fine Arts (Painting) and conducting examinations in the field of performing and visual arts for the last 60 years.
