Sanchit Art will host a solo exhibition titled Beyond Myth & Metaphor, featuring the works of artist Shabir Hussain Santosh. The exhibition will be on view from April 23 to 30, at Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi.

The exhibition, curated by Georgina Maddox, showcases a blend of figurative and semi-abstract styles. Aurora’s work is characterised by motifs such as winged female figures, flowers, butterflies, and abstract golden elements. Her palette includes pinks, golds, off-whites, and browns, used to convey themes of growth, transformation, and introspection.

Aurora, a mentor at the Milan Art Institute, USA, began her artistic career after transitioning from her role as a homemaker. Her work is rooted in personal experiences of change and self-discovery, often reflecting ideas of independence, identity, and inner strength.

Speaking about her work, Aurora said, “My paintings explore themes of independence, self-actualisation, and authenticity. They reflect a personal journey of embracing one’s true self.”

Curator Georgina Maddox describes Aurora’s process as intuitive and experimental. Her technique involves the use of flowing inks, lace textures, paisley patterns, and henna-inspired designs. Gold leaf is used throughout the works, symbolising prosperity and optimism. Among the recent works on display is an image of a paper boat in turbulent waters, a piece that explores the idea of resilience in uncertain times.

The exhibition reflects Aurora’s focus on themes related to femininity and nature, with an emphasis on personal and collective transformation. Through her work, she addresses the broader connections between individuals, the environment, and emotional well-being.

When: April 23–30; 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Where: Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi
