LTC Gallery at Bikaner House is hosting Capturing the Multiverse: Parallel States of Matter and Perception, a solo exhibition by award-winning abstract photo-visual artist Sarika Dandona, curated by Georgina Maddox. Currently underway, the exhibition will remain open until November 1 and explores how everyday materials can reveal multiple visual realities through photography.
Working primarily with macro photography, Dandona transforms familiar materials such as glass, ice, water, fire and weathered surfaces into striking visual compositions resembling landscapes, geological formations and cosmic environments. Through light, movement, reflection and transformation, her photographs reveal intricate patterns and structures that often remain hidden from the naked eye.
A distinctive feature of her practice is that the images emerge from real physical phenomena and are captured in-camera, without AI-generated abstraction or digitally fabricated imagery. A crack in glass, melting ice or the movement of liquid can take on forms that evoke river systems, planetary landscapes or biological structures.
Curated by Georgina Maddox, the exhibition explores the idea of the multiverse beyond its scientific understanding, presenting it as a way of looking at the multiple realities that can exist within a single material or moment.
Dandona’s multidisciplinary background in biotechnology, microbiology, journalism and healthcare entrepreneurship has shaped her approach to observation and visual storytelling. Over the past 15 years, she has developed an artistic practice centred on material transformation and the hidden patterns of the physical world.
Through the exhibition, viewers are invited to look beyond the familiar surfaces of everyday objects and discover the extraordinary visual worlds they contain.
