Legendary Sitar Virtuoso, Ustaad Shujaat Husain Khan, will perform at the Kamani Auditorium on August 18 during a fund-raising event organised by the Gunjan Foundation, a non-governmental social organization.

The proceeds of the event ‘Dastak-e-Dil’ will be used to support the education of underprivileged children.

The musical evening, which will start at 6:30pm, will see the legend’s exceptional talent. He belongs to the Imdadkhani Gharaana of Indian classical music.

The Gunjan Foundation says that it “firmly believes in providing every child the opportunity to access quality education”.

It was founded in 2004 by Sushma Singhvi with a mission to pursue educational and other welfare measures for uplifting the underprivileged sections of society.

Currently, Gunjan Foundation is providing scholarships to 400 economically marginalized students in private schools, for higher education and for skill development in Delhi, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Gunjan has now widened its horizons further. Its vision also includes continuing to support higher and professional courses.

When: 6:30pm onwards, August 18

Where: Kamani Auditorium, Copernicus Marg
