
Dhoomimal Gallery, India’s oldest modern art space, will present the 34th Annual Ravi Jain Memorial Foundation Exhibition & Awards from September 29 to October 15 at its Connaught Place gallery. The annual showcase, instituted in 1991 in memory of pioneering gallerist Ravi Jain (1936–2000), spotlights young talent in contemporary Indian art.
This year, around 60 emerging artists have been selected from over 600 entries, with more than 120 works on display across painting, sculpture, printmaking, video and digital art. The exhibition will culminate in the RJMF Awards ceremony on October 14, where four winners will each receive Rs 1,00,000 and continued mentorship.
“The exhibition and the awards carry forward my father’s vision of nurturing talent and building a vibrant ecosystem for art in India,” said Uday Jain, Director of Dhoomimal Gallery.
Over the past three decades, the RJMF platform has helped launch the careers of artists such as Hemraj, GR Iranna, Nidhi Agarwal, Sonia Khurana and MSC Satya Sai.

The jury for this edition includes contemporary artist Vibha Galhotra, painter and mentor Rekha Rodwittiya, writer and curator Anish Gawande, experimental artist Arunkumar HG, and curator and collector Ina Puri.
