What: For all those looking to collect Modern art, AstaGuru is set to present a special online auction titled ‘Collectors Choice: Modern Indian Art’  to cater to the discerning preferences of Modern Indian art collectors. The online auction aims to create a versatile platform for both, seasoned as well as budding collectors, by offering accessible price points,  that span the gamut of Indian Modernism. The catalogue offers a unique glimpse at the masters from the Progressive Artists’ Group (PAG) by including rare works across several mediums and from vital phases in their careers. It offers a broader view of the modernist landscape through works by other important artists who helped shape Indian art such as Bikash Bhattacharjee, Anjolie Ela Menon, Ganesh Pyne, Gulammohammad Sheikh, and many more. It further showcases the diversity of Indian modernism through creations by India’s foremost sculptors such as Meera Mukherjee, Prodosh Das Gupta, Himmat Shah, P. V. Janakiram, and many more.

Master pieces

What: Here’s a group show that brings together works created by master artists as their responses to the life-altering occurrences they have dealt with. Titled ‘Resurgence: of Revival and Resolve’ – the show is a compilation of rare and unique artworks of master and senior Indian artists, who are known for their resilience and courage. Artists like Satish Gujral, Ganesh Pyne, GR Santosh who have managed to achieve excellence and contentment in later stages of their lives, even after going through many traumatic experiences in their past.

When: 12 – 28 November

Art on car

What: The Cartist Festival 2020, a unique automobile art festival brings together automobile and art communities in India on one platform, with a mission to promote the culture of art among youth. The virtual festival will convene artists, designers, automobile experts, students from multiple institutes, aesthetes, and the general public on a common platform to share and discuss art, inspirations, and others. It will feature solo and group exhibitions for artists on the theme of automobile and art with sustainability, along with talk sessions and workshops. 

When: 27 – 30 November
