Vintage delight

What: Going back to the 1890’s, here are some rare vintage postcards on display at the exhibition titled Globetrotters: Early Postcards from the Indian Subcontinent. The exhibition captures the evolution of postcards from 1890 to 1947 in major metropolitan cities across the subcontinent, highlighting the associated themes of urbanism, popular culture, industrialisation, tourism and conflict. It begins with the representation of the presidency states and ends with popular images of Shimla, Ooty and Kashmir. A section of the show is also devoted to images of Delhi as it became the capital in 1911.

Furry fest
What: Here’s a purr-fect festival for all the pet lovers and their pets — Pet Fed, India’s biggest pet carnival is back. With numerous activities, workshops, stalls and all things fun, they aim to make the bond between you and your pets stronger and give pet lovers, who don’t have pets at home, a chance to be among thousands of dogs. Enjoy off-leash zones with games and rides, fashion show with Dino Morea, security dog show, along with food and drinks. Get a chance to discover dogs with over 50 breeds including desis.

Comical blunders
What: Following the quirky misadventures of a 45-year-old man who has fathered seven children, Chacha Chhakkan is a humorous, light hearted play. He looks for his eye-glasses even when he is wearing them, administers the right dosage of the wrong medicine to his ailing son, gives away his wife’s gold button-studded shirt to the washerwoman and much more. Join in to witness this laughter fest that self-deprecating take on life.

Best of waffles
What: Can’t get enough of waffles? Then this one is for you. Waffle Fest is a one of a kind event to satisfy your sweet tooth. From waffle sticks, pops, sundaes, sandwiches, waffle cakes and red velvet waffles to the all-new butter chicken waffles and Old Monk waffles, they have it all. Combine it with a plethora of other desserts like pies, tarts, cakes and brownies. Drop by this wafflelicious fest with over 100 varieties of your favourite dessert.

Horror hits
What: Brace yourself as the Halloween spirit takes over the city. Sunset Cinema Club is bringing the best of horror films to town for an entire weekend before Halloween — the list includes The Ring, The Blair Witch Project and Zombieland. Food and drinks available at the venue will give a complete movie-watching experience under the starry sky, adding to the spookiness. So be prepared for some thrills and chills while watching your favourite horror movies with a hint of comedy.
