Drag queen

What: All the party goers in Delhi, block your dates, as New York’s ultimate drag queen Peppermint is all set to perform here in the city. ‘Techno meets drag: Peppermint’ will raise the temperatures at Kitty Su. Gaining immense popularity after appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Peppermint was the first openly trans woman to enter the show, and ultimately ended as the runner-up. Keshav Suri adds, “Peppermint is a gutsy personality. It takes immense courage to accept your true self in front of the world. Peppermint’s performance at the club is aimed at driving the trans empowerment agenda.”

When: March 29

Where: Kitty Su, The Lalit Hotel, Barakhamba Road

Canvassing nature

What: Here’s an exhibition inspired by the art and poetry of the romantic era when nature became central for the origin of all creative genius. Titled ‘And trace in leaves and flowers that round me lie..’ the artists participating in this exhibition interpret their understanding and relationship with nature or what they understand by the term “nature” and “environment” with regard to the ethos of the 21st century. Artists in the 21st century have continued this dialogue with nature and in this exhibition, will reveal their distinct concerns and visions upon the subject. Such representations embody the shifting relationship between humans and their natural surroundings. On display will be paintings and sculptures in varied mediums.

When: March 23–31 (11 am – 8 pm)

Where: Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg

The works on display, have attempted to capture the beauty, strength and spirit of many of these forts and palaces in Delhi through the sketcher’s eyes.

When: Till March 31 (10 am – 8 pm)

Where: Delhi-o-Delhi foyer, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road
