Galleria VSB is set to mark its 20th anniversary with a group show titled “Timeless Strokes: The Masters”. The exhibition, showcasing the works of 24 modern and contemporary master artists from the 20th century, will run from January 31 to February 15, 2024, at Galleria VSB on the Third Floor of Square One Mall in Saket, New Delhi.
Curated by Vandana Bhargava, the founder and chairperson of Galleria VSB, the exhibition pays homage to the contributions of master artists who have shaped the landscape of modern and contemporary art in India. The selected artists include luminaries such as Akbar Padamsee, Maqbool Fida Husain, SH Raza, and others.
The exhibition promises a journey through the impactful strokes of these revered artists, providing art enthusiasts with an in-depth perspective on their cultural richness and artistic legacy. The exhibition will feature 55 artworks, showcasing the technical brilliance and profound narratives conveyed by these visionary artists.
Vandana Bhargava, expressing the significance of the exhibition, said, “Timeless Strokes is not just an exhibition; it is a journey through the minds and souls of these visionaries who have, through their unparalleled creativity, shaped the very landscape of modern & contemporary art”.
Galleria VSB, founded in 2004 by Vandana Bhargava, has become a cultural hub in South Delhi. Despite her background as a renowned international jewelry designer, Vandana embarked on a mission to champion art conservation, establishing the gallery as a prominent attraction among her various enterprises.
The gallery’s extensive collection spans a wide spectrum of artistic expressions, including Heritage textiles, Masters, Supermasters, Folk art, early Lithographs, Oleographs/Serigraphs, and more. Galleria VSB also pays homage to women and freedom fighters through a captivating collection of portraits.
