Comedy enthusiasts and those looking for a laughter-filled start to the New Year are in for a treat as the Hasya Rang Utsav gears up to take center stage at Delhi’s renowned Kamani Auditorium from January 2 to 4, 2024.
The festival promises three days packed with top-tier comedy plays and stand-up acts, showcasing some of the industry’s finest talents. The event, graced by Saurabh Bhardwaj, Minister of Arts, Culture, and Language from the Delhi Government, is expected to draw crowds eager for a dose of entertainment.
The festival’s opening day is set to begin with an uproarious stand-up comedy act by Ahsaan Qureshi, known for his wit and unique storytelling style. Following this, the audience will be treated to the comedic play ‘Mera Pati Salman Khan,’ directed by Raj Upadhayay and written by Umesh Pandey. The play, performed by the Navras Theatre Group, promises a comedic reflection of societal pressures.
Day Two will feature the acclaimed comedian Rajat Sood, winner of India’s Laughter Champion, along with the play ‘Hayee Padosan’ presented by Silly Souls Foundation. Directed and scripted by Priyanka Sharma, the play explores a love triangle with a touching message on genuine respect and understanding.
The festival will reach its pinnacle on Day Three, starting with an opening act by Raja Rancho, a familiar face from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2. The highlight of the day will be the comedy script ‘Bingar Ki Joru,’ directed by Ravi Taneja and scripted by C.D. Siddhu. Ravi Taneja, boasting five decades of theatre experience, brings his wealth of knowledge to this laughter-packed event.
Concluding the three-day extravaganza is the laughter-packed act ‘Andhere Mein,’ directed by Sunil Rawat and written by Pratap Sehgal, promising to leave audiences in stitches.
The Hasya Rang Utsav is expected to offer an unforgettable experience, serving as a must-attend event for comedy aficionados and those seeking to kickstart the New Year with laughter and joy.
