A solo Bharatnatyam recital by Apeksha Niranjan, titled Indiahaven Polska Spotyka Indie (When Poland Meets India), will take place on November 20, at the National School of Drama. The performance blends Polish folk music with the classical Indian dance form, Bharatnatyam, to celebrate the historical and cultural connection between India and Poland.

The recital will include a special composition dedicated to Maharaja Digvijay Singh of Jamnagar, who provided refuge to 1,000 Polish refugees during World War II in 1942. Apeksha’s performance will reflect this significant act of compassion, exploring themes of cross-cultural unity and shared history.
