The Gyeongsangbuk-do Representative Province Government of South Korea proudly presents “Korea Art Road,” an exceptional event fostering cultural and artistic youth exchange between Korea and India.
This cultural and artistic exchange event aims to create a platform for youth interaction between the two nations, fostering a new era of Korea-India relations through the power of culture.
On May 23, a delegation of 40 Korean youths will embark on a journey to Delhi, where they will captivate audiences with their extraordinary performances at the Kamani Auditorium.
According to organisers, the event will kick off with a promotional video highlighting Korea’s rich cultural heritage, followed by a collaborative Taekwondo Poomsae performance, combining the artistry of both Korean and Indian performers.
“Furthermore, attendees will be treated to traditional Korean farmers’ music from Gyeongsangbuk-do, enchanting folk songs, a captivating K-pop dance showcase, and a joint performance uniting the talented youth of both nations. Indian Council for Cultural Relations will also contribute to the event by presenting mesmerizing Indian classical and folk dance performances,” organisers told Patriot.
They said that beyond the stage, this initiative aspires to attract exceptional Indian youths to Korea and Gyeongsangbuk-do by offering opportunities for university studies, employment, and engagement in various activities within the region.
To further support this objective, the Korean Cultural Centre India will organize an information session and a special lecture by Governor Cheol-Woo Lee of Gyeongsangbuk-do, providing insights into the prospects available for Indian students.
This event, scheduled to take place at the convention hall of Delhi University at 11 a.m. on the same day, will extend a special invitation to local college students and particularly individuals with special abilities.
Prior to the lecture, students will have the privilege of experiencing Korean culture through a captivating performance by the Yeungnam University Samulnori troupe, known for their traditional percussion quartet.
Governor Cheol-Woo Lee, in a conversation with Patriot, conveyed his immense enthusiasm for the “Korea Art Road” event, highlighting its paramount importance in showcasing the cultural brilliance of Korea and Gyeongsangbuk-do.
He anticipates that the joint performances between Gyeongsangbuk-do and India will foster an incredible sense of unity and enjoyment, ultimately paving the way for a stronger and more harmonious Korea-India relationship through culture.
The “Korea Art Road” program represents a remarkable opportunity for the youth of both nations to forge connections, deepen understanding, and build bridges of cultural exchange. With its diverse array of performances and the promise of future collaborations, this event promises to leave a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of all participants, marking a significant milestone in the Korea-India partnership.
