Triveni Gallery at Mandi House is currently hosting Language of Metal: Stories Sculpted in Metals, a solo sculpture exhibition by artist Asurvedh, on view until November 13. Curated by Vikash Nand Kumar, the exhibition explores the expressive possibilities of metal as an artistic medium, bringing together sculptures that transform rigid materials into visual narratives.
The works place metal at the centre of an artistic dialogue, exploring how a material commonly associated with strength, solidity and permanence can also convey emotion, movement and meaning. Through different sculptural forms, Asurvedh seeks to move beyond the physical properties of metal and bring out the stories and ideas embedded within it.
The exhibition invites viewers to look at metal beyond its conventional uses and engage with its potential as a medium of artistic expression. Through the interplay of material, form and imagination, the sculptures explore how metal can be shaped into narratives that communicate ideas and emotions.
The exhibition was inaugurated on November 5 in the presence of several personalities from the art world, including Padma Shri awardee and eminent sculptor Biman Bihari Das, sculptor N S Rana and Nitin Goel, Director of Exotic India.
Curated by Vikash Nand Kumar, the exhibition is coordinated by Nikunj Ved and Vedant Ved. Their efforts bring together the artistic vision and presentation of the show, offering visitors an opportunity to engage with contemporary sculptural practices and the storytelling possibilities of metal.
