The LTC Gallery at Bikaner House will host Melange of Memories, a group exhibition curated by art critic Johny ML and presented by artist and curator Kali Charan Padhi. On view from October 31 to November 4, the show brings together thirty artists from across India, reflecting on how memory — personal, cultural, and historical — shapes contemporary artistic expression.
Curator JohnyML describes the exhibition as “a confluence of artistic reflections where memory becomes the foundation of identity.” The show features painters from different generations who share academic roots yet have evolved distinct visual vocabularies and styles.
Among the participating artists, Shabana Quadri and Jyoti Khushwaha explore abstraction through texture and movement, while veteran Vrindavan Solanki offers serene figurations rooted in modernist calm. Supriya Amber celebrates womanhood through depictions of tribal women, and artists like Yusuf, Rajesh Singh, and Promud Boruah extend the boundaries of abstraction and perception.
Other highlights include Kumar Vikas Saxena’s meditations on history and confinement, Rohit Supakar’s critique of inequality, and Kanha Behera’s vibrant reinterpretations of folk traditions. Spiritual and mythological dimensions surface in works by Sujata Achrekar, Nagesh Goud Bolgum, and Ramesh Gorjala, while Gurudas Shenoy and M Narayana bring structural energy and grace to landscape and form.
Presenter Kali Charan Padhi, through CanonFire Creatives, aims to make contemporary Indian art more accessible. “Melange of Memories is a celebration of our shared aesthetic and emotional landscape — where memory becomes a bridge between the past and the present,” he says.
