Contemporary artist Sima Patel will showcase her solo exhibition Naaritva at Lokayata Art Gallery, Hauz Khas Village, from August 22 to 24. It will open daily from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with free entry for visitors.
Bringing together more than 40 works, Naaritva explores the layered experiences of women, portraying them as resilient, nurturing, bold, and graceful. With its vibrant palettes and emotional depth, the series reflects Patel’s ongoing exploration of the essence of womanhood.
Although Patel first displayed artistic promise at the age of eight, her early career path led her into science and homemaking. In 2008, she returned to her passion, undertaking formal training in Ahmedabad. Since then, she has created over a thousand works across mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour, graphite, and even coffee, and has shown her work in leading galleries across India.

“Through Naaritva, I want to honour the timeless grace, power, and emotion that define womanhood,” says Patel. “Every canvas is a tribute to the many voices of the feminine spirit.”
