Quarterly baithak

Pracheen Kala Kendra, a cultural institution promoting Indian arts, is all set to celebrate its 20th quarterly baithak on June 3.

The event will take place at Triveni Kala Sangam located at 205 Tansen Marg, Mandi House, New Delhi. The baithak will commence at 6:30 pm and is open to the public with free entry to encourage maximum engagement.

The program for the evening promises a delightful showcase of Indian classical music and dance. Vocal recital maestro Ujwal Nagar will grace the stage, accompanied by Balram Sisodia on the tabla and Lalit Sisodia on the harmonium. Ujwal Nagar’s soulful rendition is sure to captivate the audience and create a mesmerising ambiance.

Vocal recital maestro Ujwal Nagar while talking to Patriot, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I feel blessed to have the opportunity to perform in this Baithak. Additionally, I am excited to bring the enchanting melodies of Traditional Indian Classical music to the audiences in Delhi.”

Sajal Koser, Secretary of Pracheen Kala Kendra said, “For this Quarterly Baithak, we are thrilled to extend our reach beyond Delhi and include Chandigarh and various other cities across India. Pracheen Kala Kendra, since its establishment in 1956, has been dedicated to the noble cause of promoting Indian art and culture throughout our society.”

“To enhance the musical experience, Akhilesh Bhatt will accompany the Kathak performance on the tabla, while Damini Bisht will provide rhythmic support through her expressive padhant. Lavinya Ambade will elevate the ambiance with her soulful sitar melodies, adding a touch of melodic beauty to the evening,” he added.

Adding to the allure of the event, Kathak dance performance will be presented by Sulagna Roy and her talented group of dancers. The group, consisting of Rishima, Subhi, Vidisha, Prerna, Archana, Eeshvi, Dr Chakshu, Ashwika, Ekansh, Avni, Adita, Advik, Pragyesh, Agrima, Anika, Shivali, Gargi, Aditi, Sanjeev, and Srishti, will showcase their impeccable skills and synchronize their movements with grace and precision.
