A contemporary art exhibition, Shades of Grey, by artist Divyaman Singh is underway at the Bikaner House Main Art Gallery and will run till June 1. Presented by Aalekh Arts & Culture Foundation, the exhibition continues its exploration of womanhood through abstract contemporary landscapes, building on themes first showcased in an earlier exhibition in Bangalore.

The exhibition brings together a series of oil-on-canvas works that examine the emotional spectrum of women through monochromatic landscapes, tonal greys and textured abstract horizons. Rather than portraying the female form directly, the works create contemplative visual spaces where emotion is expressed through atmosphere, movement and depth.

Through layered compositions, the exhibition reflects upon themes of resilience, vulnerability, introspection, memory and quiet strength. The abstract landscapes invite viewers into reflective emotional terrains that seek to capture the complexities often associated with womanhood.

Speaking about the exhibition, Rennie Joyy said the presentation continues the foundation’s commitment to fostering cultural dialogue and meaningful social reflection through contemporary art.

Artist Divyaman Singh described the landscapes as emotional terrains where shades of grey represent “a spectrum of feeling” rather than the absence of colour. Through the series, the artist attempts to explore restraint, resilience, memory and the quieter emotional experiences that often remain unseen.

The exhibition also marks the foundation’s continued engagement with curated artistic presentations that bring together art, dialogue and contemporary social concerns.

When: Until June 1; 11 AM onwards

Where: Main Art Gallery, Bikaner House, New Delhi
