The 5th edition of ‘SIAL INDIA’, an international exhibition focusing on food and beverages, alongside Vinexpo India, an event dedicated to wine and spirits, is slated to be held at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, from December 7, 2023, to December 9,2023. This collaboration aims to synergise the realms of wine, beverages, and food industries.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) is the driving force behind the exhibition, with support from the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and the Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI). SIAL India is jointly organised by Comexposium, France, and Inter Ads, India. Simultaneously, Vinexpo India is jointly organised by Vinexposium, France, and Inter Ads, India.
The inauguration is anticipated to be conducted by Janusz Wojciechowski, Agriculture Commissioner of the European Union, in the presence of Ambassadors representing participating countries.
The EU, as the Region of Honour, will host a conference titled “The EU and India: a partnership in food excellence” on December 8, from 11:30 to 13:30. The agenda encompasses discussions on ensuring safety, quality, authenticity, and sustainability of agri-food products, as well as exploring F&B innovation trends and products not yet widely available in the Indian market. EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski and other esteemed speakers are set to address the conference.
SIAL India has garnered considerable attention within the industry, boasting participation from over 30 countries, 300 national and international exhibitors, and numerous sponsors. This robust participation offers a robust platform for international buyers and sellers to engage through SIAL’s hosted buyer programme. Moreover, the exhibition serves as an ideal showcase for unveiling new products, introducing cutting-edge technologies, and addressing the evolving needs of the industry.
Countries such as Austria, the European Union, France, Greece, Italy, Iran, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, Thailand, the USA, and more are gearing up to exhibit new products, technology, and innovations at SIAL India.
SIAL India will feature three key event categories: SIAL Innovation, SIAL Conference, and SIAL Tasting Square. These segments are designed to stimulate discussions on global market development and will be led by industry experts. Renowned chefs are slated to conduct live cooking shows, enhancing the overall experience.
Vinexpo India will offer daily Master Classes, spotlighting wines and spirits from France, New Zealand, the European Union, Hungary, and India. Esteemed industry professionals will lead these classes, delving into various pertinent topics.
Director of SIAL Group, Nicola Trentesaux, underscored the significance of SIAL India as a pivotal platform to comprehend the Indian food market’s nuances and explore burgeoning opportunities.
Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium, expressed eagerness to welcome participants to Vinexpo India, symbolising an event celebrating innovation and the artistry of fine wines and spirits.
