The 10th edition of the annual cultural festival, ‘Vividh Mat: Perspectives’, is set to take place on Monday, December 30, at 7:00 PM in the Basement Theatre of the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road. This year’s event, titled Shringara: Rang Anurang, will present a thought-provoking exploration of the concept of Advaita, a theme deeply embedded in traditional art forms. The discussion will be led by Devyani Jaipuria and Shovana Narayan, two renowned cultural figures, who will guide the audience through the intricate layers of this classical theme.
The festival will feature a distinguished panel of speakers, including Jatin Das, a celebrated artist whose name is synonymous with artistic brilliance, Sudeep Sen, a globally recognised poet whose works have left an indelible mark, Sohaila Kapur, a multi-talented actor and director, and Kanwal Chaudri, an innovative artist known for her unique approach to traditional art. These luminaries will share their invaluable insights, shedding light on the artistic and philosophical dimensions of the subject.

Following the discussion, the audience will be treated to a performance of “Baithiki Bhaav” in the Kathak tradition, presented by Madhura Phatak, a senior disciple of Padmashri Guru Shovana Narayan. This performance promises to captivate with its emotional depth and intricate expression, offering a true reflection of the Kathak tradition.
