Chaos at Delhi award ceremony: Dino Morea exits midway over mismanagement

In a dramatic turn of events, Bollywood actor Dino Morea abruptly left an award ceremony midway on Saturday evening due to mismanagement issues at a hotel in Delhi.

Morea, who had been invited to felicitate the awardees, reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the event’s organisation before walking off the stage, leaving attendees disappointed.

The actor was present at the 8th edition of the Excellency Iconic Awards, held at a hotel in the Mahipalpur area. The event was organised by Three Fingers Entertainment Limited.

Confusion over award distribution

An official from the organising team confirmed Morea’s displeasure, citing major lapses in event management. “Many participants were posing as awardees, and several individuals attempted to rush the stage. This disappointed the actor,” the official stated. “Additionally, several awardees’ names were missing from the list, and there was no proper sequence for the announcements.”

The lack of structure meant that several awardees were unable to receive their felicitation from Morea, leading to frustration among participants.

One awardee expressed their disappointment, saying, “We were given a trophy and certificate by the organisers, but we were promised to be felicitated by the actor. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen. I paid Rs 15,000 for the award, and they failed to fulfil their promise.”

Attempts to bring Morea back fail

The organisers made several unsuccessful attempts to persuade Morea to return to the stage and honour the awardees. Eventually, he agreed to take photos with them in a separate room. However, the uncontrolled crowd made this difficult, forcing him to leave twice.

A Patriot reporter captured a video showing Morea hastily exiting the venue while awardees chased after him, hoping for a picture. Unable to accommodate everyone, the actor retreated to his car and left for the airport.

“We begged him to take pictures with us as promised, but he didn’t listen. This is entirely due to the organisers’ mismanagement,” said another disappointed awardee.

Many awardees were seen standing in a long queue, waiting for their turn to take pictures with Morea, but most were left disappointed.

Smooth start with Isha Koppikar

Interestingly, the first half of the event, attended by Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar, reportedly proceeded without any issues.

Meanwhile, even journalists invited to interview Morea were left waiting for over three hours, only for the actor to leave without speaking to them.

An official from the organiser’s public relations team commented, “We are unsure how this mismanagement occurred.”
