Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures, announced their upcoming venture, “Dhadak 2”, set to grace the silver screens on November 22. The film, directed by Shazia Iqbal of “Bebaak” fame and the acclaimed “Love Storiyaan” series on Prime Video, features the talented duo Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in lead roles.
The official revelation came through Dharma Productions’ X page, where they unveiled the motion poster with a caption that teased the audience with the question, “Kaise milenge — aag aur paani?” (How will fire and water meet?) Siddhant and Triptii’s names adorned the banner, igniting anticipation among fans for this tale of romance and societal challenges helmed by Shazia Iqbal.
The filmmakers described “Dhadak 2” as a compelling narrative delving into the intricacies of love while confronting social norms, promising an engaging cinematic experience.
Karan Johar, the visionary behind Dharma Productions, took to Instagram to share the motion poster featuring Siddhant and Triptii. The caption hinted at the unconventional love story, highlighting the societal barriers faced by the protagonists.
Siddhant’s voiceover in the poster teased the complexity of their relationship, setting the stage for an emotional journey. Triptii’s poignant reply hinted at the depth of their feelings, leaving viewers intrigued about their story.
Siddhant, in his Instagram post, echoed the sentiment of two hearts beating as one in this royal tale of love, teasing the audience with the exploration of class and status divisions in society.
Contrary to earlier denials, the journey towards “Dhadak 2” had been rife with speculation. Reports hinted at Karan Johar’s contemplation over a sequel that could capture the essence of its predecessor, “Dhadak”, a 2018 romance directed by Shashank Khaitan. While the initial denial from Dharma Productions attempted to quell rumours, the eventual confirmation unveiled a narrative poised to captivate audiences once again.
