YRF unveils teaser of romantic drama ‘Saiyaara’

Yash Raj Films (YRF) on Friday unveiled the teaser of their upcoming home production film, “Saiyaara”, which marks the acting debut of Ananya Panday’s cousin, Ahaan Panday.

The romantic drama is directed by Mohit Suri of “Aashiqui 2” and “Ek Villain” fame. It also stars Aneet Padda, who has acted in the web series “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and the Kajol-starrer film “Salaam Venky”.

In a social media post, YRF shared the one-minute 15-second teaser, which captures the essence of love, heartbreak, and emotional healing of a young couple, played by Ahaan and Aneet.

“An intense love story that will break your heart and heal it too…#Saiyaara only in cinemas on 18th July. #AhaanPanday #AneetPadda @mohit11481 #AkshayeWidhani,” the post read.

“Saiyaara” is produced by YRF’s CEO Akshaye Widhani, and is set to release on July 18 worldwide.

Jai Ho actor Mukul Dev passes away

Actor Mukul Dev, best known for his roles in films like “Son of Sardaar”, “Yamla Pagla Deewana”, and “Jai Ho”, has passed away, a close family friend said on Saturday. He was 54.

“Yes, it is true,” actor Mugdha Godse, partner of Dev’s elder brother, actor Rahul Dev, told PTI when asked about the reports of Mukul Dev’s demise. The circumstances surrounding Dev’s death, including the cause, are yet to be ascertained.

According to Dev’s friend Vindu Dara Singh, the actor passed away on Friday at a hospital in Delhi. “He was unwell for eight to ten days. He passed away at a hospital in Delhi. He was not looking after his health, he was depressed after the demise of his mother,” Singh told PTI. “We were waiting for Mukul to join us for the photo shoot of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ but he had stopped answering our calls,” he added.
