DDCA league weekly round-up

Delhi Colts, Rajnigandha, Yorks Club (twice) and Lala Ram Charan Aggarwal won their matches in the DDCA Hot Weather Cricket League over the last week. Apart from Basoya and Negi’s centuries and Bedi’s 99, Aryan Sehrawat, Dinesh Mor, Ranjeet Singh, Aman Sharma, Pawan Negi, Nitin Singh, Sanjeev Saini, Kunwar Bidhuri and Sikander Kaushilya scored half-centuries. These performances are besides the massive 285 that Naman Wason had hit for Yorks against City Gymkhana, to create a record for highest score in DDCA cricket league history, as reported earlier by Patriot.

Mor, Ranjeet power Delhi Colts to victory

Half centuries by right-handed batsman Dinesh Mor (70) and Ranjeet Singh (52) as well as a three-wicket haul by Deepak Dhillon (3/35) helped Delhi Colts beat Tedco CC by 129 runs at the Chhattar Singh Stadium.

Brief scores: Delhi Colts 276 all out in 38 overs (Dinesh Mor 70, Ranjeet Singh 52, Prince Rana 3/48) beat Tedco CC 147 all out in 21 overs (Aman Sharma 65, Deepak Dhillon 3/35) by 129 runs.

Rajnigandha Club edge past Madras Club

Half century by right-handed batsman Aryan Sehrawat (52) and a four-wicket haul by Ankit Choudhary (4/33) helped Rajnigandha Club beat Madras Club by two wickets at the Talent Hunt Academy ground.

Brief scores: Madras Club 202 all out in 39 overs (Pawan Negi 60, Nitin Singh 59, Ankit Choudhary 4/33) lost to Rajnigandha Club 207/8 in 38 overs (Aryan Sehrawat 52, Manish Sehrawat 35) by two wickets.

Bedi’s 99 takes Yorks to close win

Right-handed batsman Vansh Bedi missed his century by just one run, scoring 99, while Yash Kumar took 4/32 as Yorks Club defeated Neo Sports by two wickets at the St Stephen’s ground. Ankit Negi’s 108 went in vain.

Brief scores: Neo Sports 226 all out in 39 overs (Ankit Negi 108 runs, Yash Kumar 4/32, Satish Singh 2/40) lost to Yorks Club 228/8 in 37 overs (Vansh Bedi 99, Divyansh Suyal 4/38) by two wickets.

Basoya ton helps Lala Ram Charan win

Right-handed batsman Nitin Basoya’s 128, Sanjeev Saini’s 66 runs and Kunwar Bidhuri’s 52 helped Lala Ram Charan Aggarwal Club beat Youngsters CC by 68 runs in the DDCA Hot Weather Cricket at St Stephen’s ground.

Brief scores: Lala Ram Charan 323 all out in 39 overs (Nitin Basoya 128, Sanjeev Saini 66, Kunwar Bidhuri 52, Jehan Rawal 4/32) beat Youngsters CC 255 all out in 39 overs (Sikander Kaushilya 58, Manthan Tanwar 48, Yogesh Sharma 3/19) by 68 runs.

Vimanyu ton in vain

Despite century by Vimanyu, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) lost to Yorks Club by three wickets.

Brief scores: DDA 219/9 in 40 overs (Vimanyu 102, Satish Singh 3/42) lost to Yorks Club 220/7 in 31 overs (Shivam Bhan 47, Vansh Bedi 44) by three wickets at the Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce grounds.

DDCA under-19 cricket league

Aarush Malhotra’s 199 (170 balls) and Krish Chahar’s 113 not out helped NK Khanna Club beat Essex Farms by 119 runs in the opening Match of the DDCA under-19 cricket league at the Talent Hunt Academy ground.

Brief scores: NK Khanna 345/2 in 50 overs (Aarush Malhotra 199, Krish Chahar 113) beat Essex Farms 226/6 in 50 overs (Lakshay Sangwan 82, Harsh Gupta 77) by 119 runs.
