India lost the toss and were put in to bat by Sri Lanka in their seventh World Cup league match being played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

While Sri Lanka have made just one change – bringing in Dushan Hemantha in place of Dhananjaya de Silva, India have fielded the same side that defeated England by 100 runs in Lucknow on Sunday.

A win in this match will guarantee the host a place in the semi-finals. Sri Lanka need to win this to keep their semi-final hopes alive although a loss wouldn’t yet throw them out of contention.

Both India and Sri Lanka have two more matches to play in the league phase.

Teams:

India playing XI: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicket-keeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj.

Sri Lanka playing XI: Kusal Mendis(wicket-keeper/captain), Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Charith Asalanka, Angelo Mathews, Dushan Hemantha, Maheesh Theekshana, Kasun Rajitha, Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka.
