Asus launches Vivobook S16 AI PC, Chromebook CX15

Asus has expanded its Copilot Plus series in India with the launch of the Vivobook S16 AI PC, alongside the introduction of the Chromebook CX15. While the Vivobook S16 targets power users with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X processor, the Chromebook CX15 offers a more affordable ChromeOS-based option for everyday computing. Both models are now available for purchase through Asus’s official online store and e-commerce platform Flipkart.

The Asus Vivobook S16, priced at ₹79,990 and available in Matte Gray, features a 16-inch WUXGA OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits brightness, carrying TÜV Rheinland certification for reduced eye strain. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X (X1 26 100) processor with a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of up to 45 TOPS AI performance, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Running on Windows 11 Home, the laptop includes a 1080p IR webcam with privacy shutter, a backlit chiclet keyboard with numeric keypad and dedicated Copilot key, and a 70Wh battery with 65W USB-C fast charging. Built to meet US MIL-STD 810H durability standards, it comes bundled with Microsoft 365 Basic for one year, Office Home 2024 with lifetime validity, and a one-month Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps membership.

The Chromebook CX15, priced at Rs 19,990 in Pure Grey, is designed for users seeking a simple, secure, and lightweight device. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS-level display with anti-glare coating, 60Hz refresh rate, and 300 nits brightness. Powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor with Intel UHD Graphics, it comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage, running on ChromeOS. The device features a 720p HD webcam with privacy shutter, a chiclet keyboard with NumberPad support, a Kensington Nano security slot, and Google’s Titan C security chip. Its 42Wh battery supports 45W USB-C charging, and like the Vivobook S16, it meets US MIL-STD 810H durability standards.

Both laptops strengthen Asus’s presence in the Indian market, offering a choice between a high-performance AI-driven Windows machine and a cost-effective Chromebook for basic computing needs.
