OnePlus 13s to be launched on June 5 in India

OnePlus has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13s, will launch in India on June 5. Designed exclusively for the Indian market, the device will be available in three distinct colour options — Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and Green Silk — adding a touch of elegance to its premium build.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13s will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the latest flagship chipset also powering devices like the OnePlus 13, Samsung Galaxy S25 series, and iQOO 13. With this chipset at its core, the 13s is expected to deliver top-tier performance across demanding applications and gaming.

In a major design shift, OnePlus is replacing its signature Alert Slider with a new feature called the ‘Plus Key.’ Inspired by the iPhone’s Action Button, the Plus Key is expected to provide a range of customisable functions such as changing audio profiles, launching the camera, starting a voice recording, or triggering shortcuts — offering more flexibility to users.

Although official details about the full specifications are yet to be confirmed, leaks suggest the OnePlus 13s will feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness reaching up to 1600 nits. The phone is also expected to include support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast memory and data access speeds. Unlike the OnePlus 13, which uses an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, the 13s may opt for an optical one. Additionally, it is tipped to carry an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, providing moderate protection, though it may not be as robust as the IP68 rating on the OnePlus 13.

The OnePlus 13s will likely ship with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, keeping it in line with the software experience offered by other recent OnePlus flagships.

In terms of camera capabilities, the phone is rumoured to feature a dual rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. On the front, it may house a 16-megapixel camera suited for selfies and video calls.

Interestingly, despite being slightly more compact than the OnePlus 13, the 13s is expected to come with a larger 6,260mAh battery and support 80W wired fast charging. However, it may miss out on wireless charging, a feature present in the OnePlus 13, which offers 50W wireless charging alongside its 6,000mAh battery.

With its powerful chipset, new design features, and India-first positioning, the OnePlus 13s is shaping up to be a promising addition to the flagship lineup — offering users a premium experience tailored specifically for the Indian market.
