Oppo has introduced the A5 Pro 5G to the Indian market, targeting mid-range users with a smartphone that promises flagship-grade durability and smart productivity tools.

The A5 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1000 nits. The screen is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, enhancing its resistance to scratches and impacts for everyday protection.

Powering the device is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone is available in two storage configurations—128GB and 256GB—both coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM to ensure smooth multitasking and responsive performance.

Running Android 15 with Oppo’s customised ColorOS 15 interface, the handset supports Dual SIM functionality and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. On the rear, the A5 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens. The front houses an 8MP camera suited for selfies and video calls.

A key highlight is the device’s robust build, supported by IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance—making it one of the most durable offerings in its segment. Despite its rugged credentials, the phone remains slim at 7.76mm and weighs 194g. It is offered in two stylish finishes: Mocha Brown with a matte texture and Feather Blue with a feather-inspired design.

Aimed at students and professionals alike, the A5 Pro 5G also packs a suite of AI-powered productivity features. These include tools for document summarisation, rewriting, and real-time translation between Hindi and English. Other smart utilities include AI Smart Image Matting for seamless photo editing and AI assistants for note-taking and transcription.
