Pro model to feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 7,000mAh battery, and AI-powered tools

Realme is all set to launch its latest smartphone lineup—the Realme 15 series—in India on Thursday, July 24. The launch event will go live at 7 PM IST and will be streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel. The upcoming range includes the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro 5G, with both models promising significant upgrades in performance, battery life, and AI integration.

The Realme 15 series follows the momentum of the 14 series launched earlier this year and marks a major design and technology leap, particularly with the integration of AI-driven features and a focus on immersive display and camera performance.

Power-packed performance

The Realme 15 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process, offering up to 27% better CPU performance and improved thermal efficiency. The vanilla Realme 15 model is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ SoC. The Pro variant may come with configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Display and design

The Pro model boasts a 6.8-inch 4D curved AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 2,500Hz touch sampling rate, and an ultra-high peak brightness of 6,500 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Despite its large battery, the device remains sleek, measuring just 7.69mm in thickness and weighing 187 grams.

Design-wise, Realme is moving away from the circular camera island, opting instead for a squarish module housing a dual 50MP rear camera system. The Pro model will feature a Sony IMX896 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) along with a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Both front and rear cameras are said to support AI-powered imaging enhancements.

Massive battery and fast charging

Both the Realme 15 and 15 Pro will be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support. According to the brand, this will allow up to 83 hours of Spotify playback on the Pro and 113 hours on the base model, targeting heavy media and gaming users.

AI tools and software

One of the highlights of the Realme 15 series is the introduction of new AI-driven features. The Pro model will include AI Edit Genie, a tool that enables voice-activated photo editing and supports over 20 Indian languages. Other features include AI MagicGlow 2.0, AI Party Mode, and AI Ultra Touch Control, designed to enhance the gaming experience.

Durability and colours

The Realme 15 Pro comes with an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, a notable upgrade in the mid-range smartphone category. Colour options include Silk Purple, Flowing Silver, Velvet Green, and Silk Pink.

Expected pricing

While official pricing will be revealed at launch, industry sources suggest the Realme 15 may start under Rs 20,000, with the Realme 15 Pro expected to be priced around Rs 39,999, potentially retailing for less in online sales.
