Vivo has expanded its Y29 series with the introduction of the Vivo Y29s 5G. This new addition joins the Y29 (4G) and Y29 (5G) models, offering upgraded features and performance. The smartphone has been officially listed on Vivo’s global website, detailing its specifications and key highlights.
Vivo Y29s 5G: Price and Availability
The official price of the Vivo Y29s 5G has not been revealed yet. However, it will be available in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Customers can choose between two elegant color options: Jade Green and Titanium Gold.
Vivo Y29s 5G: Specifications and Features
The smartphone boasts a 6.74-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch design and 1600 x 720 pixel resolution. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and offers 570 nits of peak brightness for a smooth and vibrant viewing experience.
Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset powers the device, built on an efficient 6nm process. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photography enthusiasts, the Y29s 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP auxiliary sensor. On the front, it houses a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15.
The device is backed by a 5,500mAh battery with 15W charging support. Security is enhanced with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and GPS. While NFC support is region-specific, it is unavailable in Malaysia.

In terms of durability, the Vivo Y29s 5G is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance. It also meets SGS and military-grade shock resistance standards, ensuring enhanced durability. The phone measures 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19mm and weighs 199 grams.
Vivo T4x 5G Also Launched in India
Apart from the Y29s 5G, Vivo recently introduced the Vivo T4x 5G in India. This smartphone comes with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1050 nits of peak brightness. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, it supports up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Running on Funtouch OS 15 (Android 15), the Vivo T4x 5G starts at Rs 13,999.
With the Y29s 5G and T4x 5G, Vivo continues to expand its lineup with feature-packed smartphones catering to different user needs.
