Xiaomi Pad 7 launched in India with snapdragon power, nano display

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Pad 7 to the Indian market, showcasing significant upgrades in performance, design, and features. Powered by the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, the tablet is designed to deliver seamless multitasking and comes with the promise of multiple Android OS updates. Sporting an LCD display with advanced AI capabilities, the Pad 7 is the first mid-range tablet in its segment to feature iPad Pro-inspired Nano Display technology. Additionally, Xiaomi has enhanced the stylus and keyboard accessories for this model.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is priced at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB version costs Rs 30,999. The premium model with Nano Texture Glass Display is available for Rs 32,999. The regular variants are already on sale, whereas the high-end Nano Texture model is scheduled to hit stores in February.

Key Features and Specifications

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate display, offering a smooth visual experience. The screen supports up to 360Hz touch sampling, 800 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and HDR10 for immersive viewing. Certified by TUV Rheinland for Triple Eye Protection, the display is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for durability.

Under the hood, the device features the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0, with Xiaomi reaffirming its commitment to timely software updates.

On the camera front, the Pad 7 comes with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide front camera, suitable for both photography and video calls. Audio quality is enhanced by a quad-speaker system and quad-microphone setup, all tuned with Dolby Atmos support.

Battery and Connectivity

The tablet is powered by a robust 8,850mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 1 port for fast data transfer and charging.

Upgraded Accessories

Xiaomi has introduced a revamped Smart Pen and Keyboard for the Pad 7. The new Focus Pen boasts 8,132 pressure sensitivity levels, making it ideal for artists and note-takers. The Focus Keyboard now features backlit keys and a gesture-enabled touchpad for enhanced usability.
