A 17-year-old boy has tragically lost his life after succumbing to injuries sustained in an alleged assault by fellow students from his school in Bhajanpura, northeast Delhi, as per police reports on Sunday.

The incident unfolded on December 12 when a dispute arose between the victim and the group of students over a minor issue. The situation was reportedly defused with the intervention of some elders.

However, on December 15, at approximately 5 pm, the victim was reportedly attacked by the same individuals, resulting in injuries to his face and head.

After receiving initial first aid, he returned home. Regrettably, he lost consciousness on Saturday morning and was subsequently rushed to GTB Hospital. Following an assessment, he was referred to RML Hospital, where he, unfortunately, passed away around 10:30 pm on Saturday.

The police have registered a case of assault, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic demise of the young boy.
