The incident took place in Delhi, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (west), Vichitra Veer, stated that the attacker has been identified as 26-year-old Akash, with ongoing efforts to apprehend him.

ASI Vikram Singh was stationed at a checkpoint located under the Zakhira flyover in the Moti Nagar area of west Delhi on Thursday night. At approximately 1 am, Singh halted an individual who was exhibiting suspicious behavior, as reported by the officer.

During the process of frisking the individual, he launched an attack on Singh with a knife, causing an injury to the ASI’s right hand. Singh was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment, as confirmed by Veer.
