An 18-year-old boy died after being stabbed during a scuffle allegedly sparked by a disagreement over music being played at an event in northwest Delhi, police said on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Bheem Sen, was a resident of Badhola village. He sustained injuries in the attack, which occurred in the village on Saturday. A friend rushed him to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, a police officer confirmed.

According to police, Sen had a minor altercation with a group of boys on Friday regarding the music being played at a local event. The following day, in what is believed to be an act of retaliation, members of the group allegedly attacked him with a knife.

A crime team, along with forensic experts, visited the scene and collected evidence. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

During the course of the investigation, four juveniles were apprehended. However, the weapon used in the attack has yet to be recovered.

“Efforts are ongoing to locate and seize the knife used in the crime. Further investigation is underway to establish the full sequence of events and determine whether others were involved,” the officer added.
