A member of the Neeraj Bawana-Naveen Bali gang was arrested by a Special Cell team following a brief exchange of gunfire in Rohini Sector-34 on Thursday, according to police sources.
Rahul Dabas (36) was apprehended in connection with a murder case and is believed to be involved in seven additional cases of attempted murder and extortion, a law enforcement official stated.
“The Special Cell received intelligence suggesting he was en route to meet someone in Rohini Sector 34 on Thursday. We set up a trap, and upon encountering the police, he opened fire,” the official explained.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the police team members were equipped with bulletproof vests.
