A man reportedly suffered injuries after being struck by a minibus and carried on its bonnet for a stretch in the Lajpat Nagar region of south Delhi, as per the police statement on Monday.
Videos capturing the incident, which occurred on Sunday night, quickly circulated across social media platforms. One video depicted the man positioned on the moving vehicle’s bonnet, while another displayed him disembarking from it.
Around 11:30 pm on Sunday, the police received a PCR call. The caller claimed that while traveling from the DND flyover towards Noida, the driver of a minibus collided with him in Lajpat Nagar and dragged him on the vehicle’s bonnet for a distance. The caller trailed the minibus, and fortunately, no injuries were reported, s a senior police official.
Upon attempting to reach the caller later, it was revealed that he was in Uttar Pradesh and unable to come to file a complaint. Authorities are striving to persuade the individual to return to Delhi, and upon his arrival, appropriate legal measures will be taken, the officer confirmed.
