A young man’s birthday celebration took a tragic turn when he was fatally stabbed at a restaurant located in a mall in Pitampura, outer Delhi.

Identified as Jatin, a 23-year-old resident of Budh Vihar, he was with friends when a dispute erupted between him and the restaurant’s workers.

Despite efforts from his friends, Varad and Prashan, to intervene, Jatin was stabbed in the chest, resulting in his demise.

The police were alerted to the incident after receiving a PCR call from B M Hospital, where Jatin had been admitted with severe injuries. Initially believed to be an accident, the subsequent investigation revealed that it was a case of assault at the hotel.

Jatin was celebrating his birthday at a restaurant in Vardmaan Mall when the altercation occurred.

After being rushed to the hospital, Jatin was pronounced dead. An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder. The Special Staff of the Outer district has been assigned the case, and a team has been formed to investigate the matter. CCTV footage has been obtained, and local inquiries are being conducted to gather more information.

As of now, six people, including the restaurant owner, have been detained in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
