The Delhi Police have arrested two individuals, including a 16-year-old, for their suspected involvement in a cow slaughter case near Signature Bridge on Monday, according to an official statement.
Authorities at the New Usmanpur Police Station received information about the incident at 8:20 am. “Upon arriving at the location, officers found Rupesh Rana, who had made the call, along with two others engaged in cow slaughter. They were immediately taken into custody,” said a police official.
The police recovered the carcasses of two cows, slaughtering tools, a syringe, a medicine bottle, and a car allegedly used for transporting the animals.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and an investigation is ongoing to ascertain if more individuals were involved in the crime.
Meanwhile, a video of the accused, allegedly caught by local cow vigilantes, surfaced on social media.
In the video, the accused admitted to slaughtering cows for the past one or two weeks and claimed they were in Delhi along with three other associates.
