A girl was allegedly raped, beaten up, and abandoned near Dabri Metro Station in southwest Delhi’s Sagarpur area by an acquaintance, authorities said on Wednesday.
The suspect, who had connected with the girl through social media, has been arrested and charged, officials confirmed.
According to the police, the victim had attended a coaching class before meeting with her acquaintance.
“We received information that she had arranged to meet her social media contact, following which she was assaulted. We are conducting further inquiries,” a senior police officer remarked. (With inputs from PTI)
