An unidentified man tragically lost his life after being struck by a moving train at a Yellow Line metro station on Wednesday, officials said.

Services experienced a delay of approximately 20 minutes along the corridor following the incident at Udyog Bhawan Metro Station, according to a senior DMRC official.

The Yellow Line connects the Millenium City Center-Gurugram and Samaypur Badli areas in Delhi.

The identity of the deceased remains unknown, according to metro police.

A mobile number was discovered on a slip recovered from the man’s pocket, prompting ongoing investigation, they said.

The incident occurred around 11:30 am as the train was en route to Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, the Delhi Metro official said.

One passenger recounted that the metro they were aboard around noon came to a halt for over 15 minutes at Guru Dronacharya Metro Station. (With inputs from PTI)
