Ravi Rameshbhai Chaudhary, a passenger deported from Kuwait on June 6, was also apprehended in connection with the crime. According to them, a complaint was filed against Chaudhary after it was discovered that he was in possession of a fraudulent passport.

The police reported that they had confiscated a total of 325 Indian passports, four foreign passports, 175 fake visas from different nations, more than 1,200 immigration stamps, among other things.

When Chaudhary was questioned following his arrest, it was revealed that he had interacted with agents Narayanbhai, Zakir Yusuf Shaikh, and Mushtaq, according to them.

Chaudhary first got in touch with Gujarati agent Narayanbhai, who offered to get him a false passport and visa for Rs 65 lakh. According to a senior police official, the agent gave Chaudhary contacts for his Mumbai-based associates Zakir Yusuf Sheikh and Mushtaq in exchange for a cash advance of Rs 15 lakh.

When Chaudhary contacted them, Mushtaq allegedly set up a phoney passport and visa for the Netherlands for him.

The police claimed that after Chaudhary arrived in the USA, Narayanbhai would receive the remaining funds.

According to Tanu Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport), Mushtaq was apprehended in Mumbai on August 3 and confessed to collaborating with Sheikh, the scheme’s mastermind.

Mushtaq also revealed that Raju Bhai, alias Imtiaz Ali Sheikh, and Sanjay Dattaram Chavan, both Mumbai residents, were responsible for obtaining the fake passports, the officer added.

Sheikh was captured on Tuesday after a raid was conducted at Madh Mumbai. According to the DCP, Imtiaz and Chavan were also arrested on his behalf in Chuna Bhatti and Andheri West in Mumbai.

Sheikh used to obtain passports, fake visas, and other travel documents from Imtiaz and Chavan and has connections with almost all Indian agents. According to the police, he supports online series and movies in Mumbai.

According to the officials, they previously purchased raw materials from Chennai and other regions of the nation.
