Teenager stabbed to death in Delhi

An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death in the Shiv Vihar area of northeast Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred late on Monday night, and while the exact motive remains unclear, police suspect that the attack may have been the result of personal enmity or a heated altercation.

According to a senior police officer, a PCR call reporting the incident was received at Karawal Nagar police station around 11 pm on Monday. Responding swiftly, a police team rushed to the spot in Shiv Vihar and found the youth with multiple stab wounds.

The injured victim was immediately transported to GTB Hospital by a PCR unit, but doctors declared him dead on arrival, the officer said.

Following the incident, crime and forensic teams examined the scene, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to gather leads and ascertain the sequence of events.

Further investigation is in progress, police added.

Earlier, a similar incident occurred in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area where a youth was stabbed to death, triggering public outrage. Enraged locals took to the streets and brought vehicular movement to a standstill.

According to reports, unidentified assailants attacked the youth with sharp weapons. He was rushed to the hospital by his family but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
